 1. What is the FOXTEL Lap?

The FOXTEL LAP is FOXTEL's single biggest charity event, an annual fundraising and awareness campaign aimed at the Australian corporate market.

The concept is simple. 1 day, 10 hours, 20 people tag team on a treadmill! Corporate teams of up to 20 work colleagues run on a treadmill to see how many 100 metre laps they can run in the one day challenge.

Entrants are asked to gain sponsorship and donations from co-workers, clients, friends and family for every 100 metre lap they complete during their 30 minute run to raise funds for the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute.

The event is run on a big stage in the CBD of Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. The FOXTEL Lap is a whole day of entertainment with plenty of things to do and see and people to meet. Celebrities, dancers, and musicians will be there to motivate and entertain as teams try to outrun each other on the treadmill!

It's up to you. You can stay for the whole day and cheer each other on, or you can come down at your nominated time and tag your team mate to take over the treadmill. There will be lots to eat and drink, things to see and do - so make sure you allow time to enjoy the off-the-treadmill action!

 20. Can I change my running time once I select my slot?

Yes, we all have things that pop up at the last minute and you may need to alter your time. Check with your team captain or one of the other people on your team calendar and see if you can swap with them. Make sure you login and swap times online to ensure all the time slots are covered.

 21. Can I run more than once?

You sure can! But remember in the spirit of fair competition, the treadmills will be stopped every 30 min for change over, so if you are doing 2 slots back to back, you will be asked to stop the treadmill. Because we have prizes for the most laps run in 30 min, we need to record your laps every 30 min, this keeps everyone on a level playing field.

If you are running more than once over the day make sure you let the registration and treadmill volunteers know so we don't record your laps on the website prematurely and send an email to your per lap sponsors with the incorrect total of laps run!
