A warm hello,

I’m Dr Shani Macaulay, a mother of three & medical doctor, living in Western Australia on Menang country.

My passion is helping women & families find their way through the great transitions & transformations that life brings.

I have been a doctor for 13 years, having worked in general practice for 5 years and as a GP Obstetrician for the last 4 years. I could not find credible health information on the nature of women’s rites of passage that was woman centered and woman led within my GP or Obstetric training. Our voices are missing.

I am continuously in awe of the many mothers who I have treated in clinical practice and who I know in my personal life, that move heaven and earth for their children. As women we face unreasonable cultural expectations that often rupture relationships unnecessarily. Women endure incredible hardships. They must mother through unresolved intergenerational patterns and mental health issues.

The common theme that runs through us all is the deep well of love we have for our babies and children. It is potent & transformative. I decided to create what I couldn’t find. Thus the LOVE APEIRON was born.

This is a dynamic and evolving page and I am mothering alongside the creation of this as a resource -parent coaching info to follow- watch this space.

• DRANZCOG - Diploma with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
